As the sun was rising it cast rays of light across a pond full of lilly pads and pink blossoms in a quiet sanctuary called Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs.

You can find these beautiful flamingos at Wonder Gardens, they are the remaining birds from the original flock born there long ago. They are near there life span so it gave me great pleasure to visit and paint them.

The morning started out rainy but then the sun broke through on the bay side of Bodwitch Beach casting shadows on the sand of the native palms.

Serenity in Motion

This painting was inspired by the koi pond at Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs. It's a tropical garden full of exotic animals and stands as one of the few remaining cornerstones of Old Florida. 

Bellini's Patio

This Plein Air of Bellini's patio was painted during happy hour while the sun was beginning to set and peek through the building, it added a beatuful glow to the umbrellas and landscape. Inside you will find a piano bar and will be welcomed by the owner with a handshake to welcome you.

It was a beautiful morning in Bonita Springs along the water while an egret hunts for breakfast in the calm still water. 

Patio De Leon

Patio De Leon is a charming courtyard loved by local and tourist for it's shopping, dining and bars. I was captivated by the shadow of the afternoon sun against this white building and I put pastel to paper to create the feeling of that courtyard in the afternoon sun.

This vibrant landscape captures the fiery reds, oranges, and gold of peak Midwest foliage against a bright blue sky. The winding dirt path through the rolling Hills invites the viewer into the scene, invoking a peaceful autumn stroll in the Illinois countryside.
